Mr.Hessler, the author of Oracle Bones, is in Hong Kong at the invitation of the Man Literary Festival.

Mr. Hessler will discuss the next challenge for reporters in China: Where should Western media place their focus?

Peter Hessler worked as a Beijing-based freelance writer writing for newspapers such as The Wall Street Journal Asia, The Boston Globe and the South China Morning Post before moving on to magazine work for National Geographic and The New Yorker. Hessler’s second book, The Oracle Bones: A Journey Between China’s Past and Present, is a collection of journalistic stories.
